Drop is a community-driven transit mapping platform. We only collect the information needed to operate the App, authenticate your account, improve map accuracy, and support community features such as stop submissions, route voting, and contributor rewards. We do not sell your personal information.

Depending on how you use Drop, we may collect:

• Account information: identifiers associated with Google or Apple sign-in (such as name, email address, and provider account ID).
• Location data: approximate or precise location when you grant permission, used to center the map, suggest nearby routes, and support search and routing within Nigeria.
• Community contributions: stops, routes, fare updates, votes, reports, and other map data you submit.
• Usage and device data: basic technical information such as device type, app version, and interaction events needed to operate, secure, and improve the App.
• Reward activity: karma points, badges, and leaderboard-related contribution history tied to your account.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain Drop's map, routing, and community features
• Authenticate users and protect accounts from abuse
• Verify, moderate, and publish community-submitted transit data
• Calculate contributor rewards and display community recognition
• Improve reliability, safety, and product experience
• Communicate important service or policy updates when needed

Drop requests location permission to personalize the map experience. If you deny location access, the App may fall back to a default city view and some nearby-route features may be limited. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.

Stops, routes, fare estimates, and related map contributions you submit may become visible to other users once published or while pending community verification. Do not include personal contact details or private information in public map submissions.

We use trusted service providers to operate Drop, which may include:

• Authentication providers (Google, Apple) for sign-in
• Backend and database hosting for accounts, map data, and community features
• Map and geocoding providers to render maps and resolve places
• App distribution platforms (Apple App Store and, when available, Google Play)
• Advertising partners, where ads are shown in the App, subject to those partners' privacy practices and applicable platform controls

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and under their respective privacy policies.

We retain account and contribution data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to operate the community map, resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations. You may request account deletion by contacting us using the details below.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Drop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App and on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
